The 32nd Annual Turkey Trot

WHEN: Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 25, 2010. The race starts at 8:00am.
LOCATION: All events start at the Baum Opera House (15 South First Street) in Downtown Miamisburg. I-75 to Exit 44, Rt. 725 west to Second St. south to Linden Ave west to First St. north.
2009 EXPO: Wednesday November 25 from 11:00AM - 7:00PM and Thursday November 26 from 6:30AM - 9:30AM at the Baum Opera House. The 2009 Expo features local vendors, massages, and DJ entertainment! Please find the latest expo updates and details here.
PACKET PICK-UP: Avoid the race day rush and pick up your packet at the Expo on Wednesday November 25 from 11:00AM - 7:00PM. Race day pickup on November 26 from 6:30AM - 7:30AM at the Baum Opera House.
EVENTS: Choose to participate in ONE of these events:
COURSES: The 2009 5-mile course is the same as 2008: Start on First at Linden, head south on First, swing through Rice Field past the aid station, turn around at Shephard Rd., return to the start/finish line on First just north of Linden. New 2009 1-mile course: Line up on Linden, between First and Main (this is the same as 2008), but for 2009, you will be facing Main St. instead of First St. Head south on Main St., to west on Mays Ave. to the turnaround. Return on Mays to north on Main to east on Lock St. to north on First Street. Finish with the 5-milers on First just north of Linden. Please keep to your left along First St. to make room for the returning 5-milers.
SHIRTS:
The first 7000 entries will receive a new-for-2009 long-sleeved t-shirt constructed of a special moisture-wicking technical fabric. (Note: XXS is approximately equivalent to youth medium, and XS is approximately equivalent to youth large.)
REGISTRATION: Register online (through November 20) or download the mail-in entry form below. Register by October 24th and save! Reduced fees for children ages 14 and under! (See fee schedule below.) Please, no mailed entries after November 13th.* Because of timing chip availability, the 5-mile event will be limited to the first 6500 participants. (No limit on 1-mile event.) Note: There is no extra fee for online registration. (We absorb the fee charged by Active.com.) And you save the cost of a stamp and an envelope.
*Please mail all entries to the 94 Bethel Rd., Centerville, OH 45458-2465 address listed on the entry form. Please do NOT mail entries to the Baum Opera House. Any entries mailed to The Baum will not be received or processed. (The ORRRC does not own the Baum Opera House, so we do not open their mail...)
We will be accepting on-site registration at the Expo on Wednesday from 11:00AM to 7:00PM and from 6:30AM to 7:30AM on race morning. Please note that we are not equipped to accept credit cards at The Baum Opera House. Please bring cash or checks!

REFUNDS: All fees are final. There are no refunds! If you cannot participate in the event, then send someone down to The Expo on Wednesday to pick up your shirt. Unclaimed packets will be disassembled at 8:30AM on race day and used to fill shirt size exchange requests after the race.
AWARDS:
- TOP 5 Male and Female: Overall and Masters division (age 40+) - Overall and Masters winners (male and female) will also each receive a $100 Asics gift card from Runners Plus.
- TOP 5 in Male and Female age groups: 8 and under, 9-11, 12-14 and each 5-year age division from 15-19 to 80 and over.
- TOP 5 in Clydesdale divisions for men: “A” 200-224 lbs.; “B” 225 lbs. and over.
- TOP 5 in the Grande Dames division for women: 140 lbs. and over.
- TOP 5 in the Wheelchair division.
Awards will be presented downstairs at the Baum Opera House after the last finisher has finished and results have been calculated. (Approximately 9:45am) Awards not claimed on race day may be picked up at Runners Plus, 2721 Miamisburg-Centerville Rd (across from the Dayton Mall) during normal business hours.
POST RACE PARTY: Please join us immediately following the race in front of the Baum Opera House for a fun-filled post-race celebration including refreshments, DJ music and entertainment, and great socializing with fellow members of our excellent running community!

SCORING: All 5-Mile participants will be issued a timing chip. You are responsible for wearing your chip on your shoe. NO CHIP = NO RESULTS = NO AWARD. To be eligible for awards, you must cross all 3 timing mats: start, turnaround, and finish. YOU MUST RETURN YOUR CHIP AFTER THE RACE. If you don’t run/walk or don’t finish, you must return the chip in person at the race or by mail in the envelope provided. 1-Mile Fun Runners/Walkers will not be issued a chip.
RULES: For the safety of you and those around you, baby joggers and dogs are prohibited, and headphones are strongly discouraged. Obey all instructions from race and public safety officials. Please be sure to wear your timing chip on your shoe during the race and to return it at the finish.
