Score format (go in any order) with a 2-hour time limit.  About 10-km to clear the course (25 controls possible).  Parking – Start – Finish – at the A-Shelter (Top circle drive). SI CHIP TIMING (SportIdent system).  BYO compass, whistle, water bottle, & stop watch.

George Rogers Clark Historical Park
930 South Tecumseh Road (Highway 369 & Rt. 4) Springfield, OH 45506

This 250-acre park is the historical site of the largest Revolutionary War Battle west of the Alleghenies.  Run thru the land where Shawnee war leader Tecumseh (1768-1813) was born.
This is a fundraising event for George Rogers Clark Park. Payment is by donation. Standard event fees of about $5 per person are reasonable, and additional donation amounts are well appreciated.
All proceeds will be donated to the Clark County Park District.

The 2012 U.S. Olympic Team Marathon Trials are being held this weekend in Houston Texas.  The local running community has a few qualified runners competing!

TRAINING RUN Saturday, January 7, 2012 at 8:30 a.m. Meet at Normandy Elementary School/Grant Park to preview the Dirt Dawg 8 miler race course. Click here for race details/location.

These gatherings are a great way of running on new trails, and meeting and socializing with other runners.  Everyone is welcome, no matter how fast or slow!

The Club's rich history is directly related to a set of individuals that have placed considerable time and effort into the club and in turn the running community at large.

The Lifetime Membership is one way the Club recognizes this dedication.

Over the last 40 years, these individuals have made significant contributions to the Ohio River Road Runners Club by serving in some or all of the following capacities:

Celebrate the new year with a five mile run at Bill Yeck park Sunday, January 1, 2012 at noon. Meet in the parking lot at 2230 E. Centerville Station Rd. Dayton, OH 45459. If you can't make the run, some of us will be going to Panera Bread on Wilmington Pike around 1 p.m. Hope to see you!

Dave and Stacy are looking for 4 non runners for the Dirt Dawg 8 Miler (in Centerville) race on January 14.  Plus a few running volunteers.

Also, we are streamlining the Grand Prix Series that promotes running AND volunteerism.  In summary:  Sign up, run 6 races, volunteer 4 times and win against your peers.

As a secondary bonus, all members that complete the series will be invited to the 2013 Volunteer Holiday Party.  Check this link to see all the details.

We are always looking to give back to the membership.  So for the 2012 season we are going to remove all race fees for our classic $3 races for our members.  Dirt Dawg 8 free? Yes!  Frostbite 5 free?  Yes!
