ORRRC Team Series

General Information

Established racing teams are set to compete in a series of 11 designed races this year, which are sponsored by ORRRC. Each event that is designated at team race is open to all runners.  Each runner is responsible for signing up as an individual racer then they report their participation to their team captain or designated team coordinator.  After the race they report their final finishing place to the team captain / designee for team scoring to be completed.

Forming a Team

Gather a group of runners and submit a team roster to Kenn Daily.  Runners cannot change teams during the calendar year.  Teams can be a group of neighborhood runners or affiliated with a company. Team members can be added through April 30^th.

Scoring

• All females over age 60 will have their finish place divided by 4.
• All men age 60 and up, females age 40-59 (master females), and all children under 14 will have their finish place divided by 3.
• All master males (40-59) and all females aged 14-39 will have their finish place divided by 2.
• All males 14- 40 will  score their finish place.
• Males 0-13 will have their score divided by 2.
• Females 0-13 will have their score divided by 3.

Teams are awarded points for each race. The team with the lowest score earns the most points for the race. For example, first earns 20 points, second earns 19 points, etc… If a team does not have 5 scoring runners the missing runners will be scored as the last finisher in the race totaled accordingly.

Each team member racing will receive -2 points off total team’s score up to a total -30 (15 racers max.).

ORRRC Team Series Racing
The 2009 edition of the ORRRC team series was again a tremendous success with more 300 team runners completing in at least one race.  The series was lead by the Miami Valley Track Club’s Greene Frogs with 199 points out of 200 followed by the Wright Patterson Air Force Base with 185 points and Alliance with 179.  Rounding out the top eight was the Middletown Street Striders, Dayton Children’s Hospital, Lexis Nexis, The Cash and Five Rivers Runners.  Congratulations to all who competed!
