Happy New Year Everyone!
Please find attached a PDF of my summary for the 2011 Dirt Dawg Trail Series, and (against my better judgement) a PDF of my overall spreadsheet.
If you feel inclined to re-add up all the scores to make sure you got all your points, go ahead. Your time would be better off spent running, however since I won't be changing any results. Besides we all earned the same award, the custom ORRRC Dirt Dawg Trail Series "BUFF", which I'll be passing at the Holiday Party as well as upcoming Training Runs and Races.
Registration for the 2012 Dirt Dawg Trail Series is open! (ALL THE DETAILS). You'll have until 1 June 2012 to sign up. Under a separate email, you will be receiving the information for this upcoming year. Information will be posted at the ORRRC website as well. This year will be quite different from past years so please read the information. I'll answer the question right now because I'm sure it will be asked by someone in a panic. No, you do not have to run one of the 50K races. That will be up to you. You'll be able to finish the series without running an ultra (but you'll miss a whole lot of fun).
There's a Dirt Dawg Training Run at Bill Yeck this coming Sunday at 12:00 noon to celebrate the New Year. Additional details are at the ORRRC website. If the Green Bay Packer's game isn't televised locally, I'll be there with the "BUFFS".
In addition to all of our great trail (and road) races, there are a number of races in Ohio, Michigan, Kentucky & Tennessee, which are worth checking out. It's always great to see our Dirt Dawgs at these events. A few especially worth mentioning are "Lovin the Hills" 15 Mile & 50K in Louisville, "50's for Yo Momma" 50K & 50 Mile in Circleville, and "RunWoodstock" (name a distance and they have) in Hell Michigan.
I'm looking forward to seeing everyone at the Holiday Party, and then a week later at the "Dirt Dawg 8 Mile" race at Grant Park.
Cheers Kenneth J. Seidl
JEFF MCPHERSON NOTE: Thanks Ken!
