2012 DIRT DAWG TRAIL SERIES RULES

The DIRT DAWG TRAIL SERIES is a way to encourage friendly competition amongst the runners who appreciate off road running on the trails of the Miami Valley’s wonderful public parks. A little mud and dirt never spoils a good run.

RULES & REGULATIONS
- Must be an ORRRC member – See the ORRRC website www.orrrc.org for information.
- Sign up online at the ORRRC website before 1 June 2012, include your name, gender, age on 1 June 2012, and email address.
- In order to be recognized as a DIRT DAWG TRAIL SERIES “Finisher” and be eligible for awards, each participant needs to accumulate a minimum of 100 points from the list of races noted below and serve as a non-running volunteer at least once. See examples below.
The following races are worth 10 points:
Sugarcreek 5 Mile Carriage Hill 5K
Possum Creek 5K Narrows 5 Mile
The following races are worth 15 points:
Dirt Dawg 8 Mile
Twin Creek 10K George Rogers Clark 10K
Taylorsville 8 Mile
The following races are worth 25 points:
Frosty 14 Mile Germantown 10 Mile
Crazy Turkey 10 Mile Taylorsville 16 Mile
John Bryan 10 Mile
The following races are worth 35 points:
Tie Dye 50K Another Dam 50K
Germantown 50K Broken Toe 50K (?)
The following race is worth 50 points:
Dawg Gone Long Run 50 Mile Trail Race
Non-running volunteers will receive 15 points per race.
If you’re injured or don’t want to run, please come out and lend a hand.
Race Directors will receive the point value of their race.
After the Sugarcreek race, the points will be calculated retroactively for the previous races and will be posted. The points will be updated periodically and posted throughout the remainder of the year. Participants (runners & volunteers) will be as noted on the official ORRRC race results. Participants will not be dropped from the Series until the final tally, but must be signed prior to 1 June 2012.
Participants who do not accumulate a minimum of 100 points and serve as a non-running volunteer at least once by the end of the year will not be considered a DIRT DAWG TRAIL SERIES “Finisher.
- DIRT DAWG TRAIL SERIES “Finishers” will receive some type of cool award. Finishers will be ranked according to the points received for bragging rights.
- Everything is subject to change (but probably won’t), just like a trail race!
